Description

Description:

Many customers use the electric vehicles (EVs) for daily commute or for business. Description of a complete EV system is introduced; and the performance of its Powertrain has been evaluated in, in which a test bench is designed for modelling purposes of small EVs. Performance of two of the latest generation clean Powertrain cars is evaluated in Lab condition and on road in. The researchers in covered various design aspects of EV development with main focus on Powertrain system. Moreover, the Powertrain of EV and HEV systems  have  been  presented  using  double  rotor  permanent magnet synchronous machine (PMSM)  in, in which a complete parametric design procedure and energy management system have been developed.  #Considering  the  commercialized  EVs  and  automotive suppliers,  induction  machine (IM)  and  PMSM  are  the most commonly used in EVs. A comparison between industrial and electric vehicle motor drives can be found in. Surface mounted PMSM is used for light EV. Also, field oriented control (FOC) of PMSM drives is implemented for EV/HEV application in. The  achievements  of  this  study  are  with  respect  to  the integration of  a complete Powertrain  of an EV.  This electric drive system includes a set of two SM-PMSMs and their drive and control systems.

Electrical vehicle (EV) based on electric propulsion system.    No internal combustion engine is used.   All the power is based on electric power as the energy source.

The main advantage is the high efficiency in power conversion through its proposition system of electric motor.   Recently there has been massive research and development work reported in both academic and industry. Commercial vehicle is also available.  Many countries have provided incentive to users through lower tax or tax exemption, free parking and free charging facilities.

On the other hand, the hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) is an alternative.  It has been used extensive in the last few years.   Nearly all the car manufacturers have at least one model in hybrid electric vehicle.  The questions come to us:  Which vehicle will dominate the market and which one is suitable for future?  This paper is to examine the recent development of electric vehicle and suggest the future development in the area.
