Electric vehicles are going to be a necessary need in today’s world. All the automobile companies are already shifting towards electric vehicles. In India, government has also suggested that from 2025 onwards, use of petrol/diesel powered vehicles should be banned. This is done to promote the use of electric powered vehicles in India.
As the use of electric vehicles is increasing, new methods of charging technologies and new charging methods came into existence. One of these methods of charging electric vehicles is ‘Solar Charging’.
Envision Solar, a California-based energy innovation company which produces EV ARC or Autonomous Renewable Charger. This transportable, off-grid charger could be a good option when trenching and permitting drive up the cost (and time) of charging infrastructure. It comes with 6 charging plugs.
The company has come up with a charging technique which is cost and environment friendly and also efficient as it is capable of charging up-to 6 vehicles at a time altogether. This will not only reduce the waiting time for charging but also enable to use solar energy in the most efficient way possible.
Many companies are working in this field to promote the use of electric vehicle worldwide. In India, the government has de- licensed the public charging stations business for EVs. BHEL has also announced that it will be setting up five solar based EV charging stations at Haryana Tourism Corporation's resorts on the Delhi-Chandigarh highway.
Magenta Power, one of the leading service providers of renewable energy solutions in association with Exicom, installs India's first Solar Charging Station (DC Fast Charge) for Electric Vehicles in Turbhe, Navi Mumbai.
